My dog Zak, old but still sweet. He can’t walk very far anymore and it takes him a few tries to get up or down stairs, but he lives a comfortable life in the sun. The shot of him laying on the kitchen floor is what I saw when I first woke up this morning; Zak opened my door during the night!

The spaniel is Willow, the neighbour dog. She likes to come under the fence and play with us, the silly girl.

This is Blondie, a local golden retriever. She’s the happiest dog in the world –– when she goes to dog parks, she goes to all the people there and greets them and looks for pettings. Her owner says that there should be “people parks” for dogs like Blondie, where Blondie can just love on all the people there who want to pet her and play with her.

My latest charge is feeling a little shy…

This is my current “foster”, Cassie, who is actually the adult cat belonging to my friend Maya. Poor Cassie is recovering from surgery, and my place is a lot quieter than Maya’s! Also, fewer rambunctious dogs.

She likes this cupboard. I generally don’t let the kittens in there, but Cassie is okay. :)

Hahahahah.

Still no kittens! Have some local dogs. In order, Dino, Kutra, Dante, Rex, Fido and Bucky.

My dog is nine years old and walks with a limp, but he can still get running! I, on the other hand, am winded after 50ft. We are a couple of prematurely old bodies.

Best way to sleep for sure.

Sorry for the lack of updates! No kittens at the shelter in a while, but with spring on its way, we can anticipate a wild kitten season ahead.

This silly baby is going back to the Toronto Humane Society today, so she can get spayed and find a forever home! Some last few pictures of her are in order :)

Crying for cuddles.

Her new favorite toy is a big pompom.
